This painting is one of a kind with very skillful details. Shakymuni Buddha, the 4th Buddha seating on a lotus throne in the centre attended by his two main disciples - Shariputra and Maudgalyayana. Surrounding them are the 16 arhats, the Buddha's close disciples who gained realisation just by listening to his teachings. This Thangka painting is competed by a Tibetan Thangka Master in traditional style, using natural stone pigments. The final Thangka is framed with the most exquisite silk brocade border.
This special Thangka has been blessed by a respected Rinpoche and you can see the mantra at the back of the painting.
